Commericial Pilot License

A Commercial Pilot License (CPL) is the license that will allow the holder to act as the pilot-in-command of an aircraft for compensation. The requirement to obtain this license is determined by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

Entry Requirements:

  1. Have a PPL and Instrument Rating, (IR optional)

  2. Be at least 18 years of age

  3. Obtain a Class 1 medical from an approved Aviation Medical Officer.

  4. Minimum 200 hours.

  5. Can speak, read, write, and understand the English language.

  6. All applicants must present a valid National ID or passport from their country of origin.

The minimum required hours by the JCARs is 40 hours. However, this may not be sufficient for some individuals to attain flight proficiency. Additional hours of flight training may be necessary prior to taking their flight test examination.
